3 Types of Body Lifts

Body lifts are an incredibly life-changing category of procedures to help patients overhaul their bodies and get the desired results they crave. Toronto’s board-certified cosmetic plastic surgeon Dr. Adibfar specializes in full-body contouring procedures while following the utmost safety protocols and latest technologies alongside his refined techniques. In this article, we’ll be taking a closer look at the different types of body lift procedures offered and what they can do for you!

1. The Lower Body Lift

If you’re looking to remove lingering or excess skin and fat from your lower body then a lower body lift may be right for you. The excess skin and fat can be removed from any and all parts of the lower body including the thighs, legs, abdomen, hips, and more. Many patients undergoing a lower body lift attribute their excess skin and fat to recent substantial weight loss. Others find that they are genetically predisposed to carry sagging skin and fat in these areas. Regardless, Dr. Adibfar and his astute medical team are able to address these concerns and more. Dr. Adibfar typically positions his incisions in discreet areas of the body for seamless results. Incisions may appear faintly in the underwear line and along other creases in the lower body that are easily hidden. Dr. Adibfar can also contour the stomach, buttocks, and thighs for smoother skin and a more pleasing silhouette.

2. The Upper Body Lift

Similar to a lower body lift, the upper body lift also functions to remove any excess skin and fat from the upper body. Common areas requiring removal include under the bra line, the upper arms,

and the back and the side chest  wall. For an upper body lift, Dr. Adibfar is able to hide the incision lines close to the armpits and any other natural creases. Many patients opt for complimentary upper body procedures including a lift to the upper arms and breasts. After a full recovery patients are thrilled to be able to wear more fitted clothing without the insecurity of hanging skin and fat and discomfort. This also makes warmer months more pleasing as patients can indulge in the beach and pool comfortably while attending more social gatherings year round.

3. Particular Lift Surgeries

While many patients prefer to undergo full-body lift procedures to address multiple skin concerns simultaneously, other patients may only require assistance with specific body parts. Perhaps a patient may experience excess fat and skin in a single area of the body due to genetic predisposition. Some of these specific lift procedures include a butt lift, tummy tuck, inner or outer thigh lift, breast lift, arm lift, back lift and more. As with any body contouring procedure, your consultation with your qualified board-certified cosmetic plastic surgeon will determine the best course of action for your body type.

Patients love their results and are thrilled with their returned confidence and smoother-looking silhouettes.
